My Piranha robot does not start up. How did this happen?

Here are some suggestions to check what the problem is:

  • To begin with, plug the power supply into another outlet quickly to check whether or not the problem is caused by the power supply.
  • Check that the power cord is intact and properly connected in the power supply.
  • Check that the cable between the robot and power supply is properly connected and that the white cable clamp is mounted.

  • Check that the propeller rotates unobstructed. Clean the propeller if necessary and remove all obstacles such as hair, leaves, dirt, etc.
  • Check that there are no obstacles, such as drive shaft, and check that the brushes rotate smoothly. If necessary, remove any obstacles that would restrict this.
  • Make sure the robot is completely submerged in water. When the robot’s mousses are dry, they feel hard and the robot cannot sink to the bottom. It can take up to one hour for the robot to reach the bottom because the mousses must first fill with water. This process can be accelerated by pressing on the mousses with your hands as the robot floats in the water. Indeed, this action promotes the filling up of the mousses.

For your information, a cleaning cycle is 1h30 (ECO) or 2h00 (STANDARD) depending on the selected program and model of the robot.
