The pool water is cloudy/milky and the bottom of the pool is no longer visible. What is the cause and how do I fix this?

Some possible causes include:
- Too high a pH level
- Filter times too short
- No flocculation applied
- Accumulation of impurities due to poor disinfection
- Too many small suspended particles or pollution in the water
Some steps you can take to resolve this:
- Clean your filtration system by performing a thorough backwash
- Switch to continuous filtering
- Use a pH cure to correct the pH of your pool to 7.0 – 7.4
- Add a product to your pool water that helps prevent calcium deposits
- Perform shock treatment with powdered chlorine to disinfect everything quickly
- Use a double dose of flocculant and perform a thorough backwash afterwards
- Add some algaecide products to your pool
