My robot doesn’t move anymore. How did this happen?
A robot has two main elements that provide propulsion:
- The drive mechanism with drive motor causes the belts and shafts to rotate.
- The intake section with pump motor ensures that the robot is pulled to the bottom and does not float.
Both are important, so when problems arise, it is best to check several things:
- Make sure the robot is not stuck in/behind certain obstructions, such as stairs.
- Did you place the robot in the middle of your pool in the water? If so, the cable may not be long enough and this will cause the robot to get stuck.
- Check that the filter is clean and not damaged. In some cases, there is microscopic contamination of the filter mesh and it is necessary to clean or replace the filter. However, do not operate the robot without the filters!
- Check that the propeller at the top of the pump motor is not blocked with leaves, hair or other obstructions. Remove and retest the robot.
Does the problem persist? Then the drive belts and/or the mechanism may be worn out. We recommend that you send the robot to our technical workshop to be checked. You can submit a request via the following link: Return Repairs – PPG (polletpoolgroup.eu)
