How do I get my heat pump ready for winter?

  • Place the bypass in the position where there is no more flow to the heat pump
  • Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the heat pump and drain all water from the pump and pipes. This is how you avoid a cracked heat exchanger in frosty weather.
  • Screw the glands back onto the heat pump, but make sure the pipes are loose so that, should water get into the pipes, it can leak out. Screwing back the glands also prevents pests, such as mice, from entering the heat pump.
  • We also recommend not de-energising the heat pump. Leave it connected to the network, as this will protect the electronics from moisture deposits and condensation.
  • Place the supplied cover over the heat pump.
